Prototype 1.6.0は、バグフィックス・パフォーマンス改善の他に、多くの機能の拡張が行われています。
script.aculo.us 1.8.0はprototype 1.6.0で動作し、バグフィックス・パフォーマンス改善の他に、新しくTweenエフェクトを取り入れ、既存の機能にも拡張が行われています。
